*It's starting to look a lot like Christmas,

in time for Mothers' Day...*

I think I should give my mum a bouqet of poinsettias for Mothers' Day. I can't believe it snowed last night! I looked outside my window this morning and there was still a smattering of snow on the dirt ground. I don't run well in snow, so I went right back to bed and slept in! When I checked The Weather Network I found out it was minus five (celcius, that's the same as piss ass cold in farenheit) with the dew point and windchill. Tomorrow if there's still snow on the ground I'll go for a walk and see what my running trail looks like. I can't believe how much it snowed in the interior!
I finally got a ticket to see R.E.M. on May 23 at Deer Lake Park. We couldn't afford for both of us to go so my husband generously let me purchase the ticket. The concert is on rain or shine; I wonder if it'll snow??

I had my other x-rays done; the pneumonia is all cleared out of my lungs now. I still have a bit of a cough, but that's from congestion and irritation now. They found that my lymph nodes are a bit enlarged, so I have to wait for the hospital to call me to set up an appointment for a cat scan. The doctor said it's probably just due to the pneumonia running its course, and it will disappear on its own, but they have to double check in case it's something more serious. In all likely hood it's not though.

We often get mail with the wrong address on it. We got a letter with an address on it that doesn't even exist, so the postee figured it could be our address because our's is close. I tried looking up the name on the envelope up in the phone book and on the online phonebook, but couldn't find him. Normally I would write return to sender on it and place it on my mailbox, but if it was just junk mail normally I just stick it in the recycling and shred the part with the person's name and address on it. I opened it, and it was the guy's cellphone bill. Because I couldn't find him in the phone book I just shredded it; hoping maybe he would contact the cell phone company because he hadn't received his bill yet. So think about this for a minute....What info is on a person's cellphone bill.....? They're cellphone number! *sigh* All I can do now is if I get another bill for this guy is to phone him then. I can't have the post office return the bill once I've opened it. Sometimes I wonder about myself.

I've managed to have decent weather and have managed to go to the park for a bit and hang out on my balcony, which are things I really like to do. Guy and I didn't go to the Quay or anything because he's still quite sick. But the main thing is I'm away from work, and albeit Guy being sick, I've been getting enough sleep too, which I needed badly.
The only setback was Guy's having trouble breathing on Monday night, so he had to go to the hospital. I wasn't too worried once the ambulance took him away because I knew he was in good hands. I was going to go visit him on Tuesday, but at about six in the morning I heard the key in the door; they had dispatched him already. They gave him a prescription which I got filled on Tuesday. Since then he's slowly been getting better. He's a bit agitated because he hasn't been able to smoke a cigarette, but he seems to be weathering that alright. It was a bit scary but everything seems to be alright now, and I've been having a good holiday despite it.

Our new manager is really new to managing us merchandisers too, so I want to give him as much support as I can--especially since he's pulling double duty being our manager and keeping his old position as Inventory Manager at the same time until they find someone else to fill his old job.
