Pillows in Coffins
I saw something on the Weather Network about environmentally safe coffins. What struck me as odd is that they put pillows in coffins. Why?

i think it's to keep up that illusion of being "laid to rest"...
can't properly rest without a pillow, now can we?
even if we are...well, dead...

They do it so that the head of the deceased it in a much better postion for the "Viewing". And so that they can charge another few hundred dollars more, because it looks pretty! :)

I'm thinking [info]counter_zero and [info]graystonethusky are both right.

I'm curious: How is a coffin with a pillow in it environmentally safe? Do they use biodegradable pillows?

I guess they would have to! Either that or archeologists are going to find a burial site full of pillows...
