Anyhow, now that my work hours have calmed down (good in one way, not so much in another,) I should have more time to devote to catching up with people. I hope everyone had a great holiday, and I hope everything is great with all of us in 2009! Christmas Eve Guy and I spent at my mum's with her, my sister and my mum's neighbour. I had to work on Boxing Day. New Year's Eve was quiet, mainly because it was snowing outside, but one diehard set of a firework (yes, just one boom,) off in the snow somewhere. Guy and I toasted in the New Year with soda and watched Dick Clark's show. It's amazing how he's still hanging in there. I had to work New Year's Day, but at least I got time and a half.
I think 2009 should be an interesting year for the whole world.
Holy crap my hair's getting white!
I think I should give my mum a bouqet of poinsettias for Mothers' Day. I can't believe it snowed last night! I looked outside my window this morning and there was still a smattering of snow on the dirt ground. I don't run well in snow, so I went right back to bed and slept in! When I checked The Weather Network I found out it was minus five (celcius, that's the same as piss ass cold in farenheit) with the dew point and windchill. Tomorrow if there's still snow on the ground I'll go for a walk and see what my running trail looks like. I can't believe how much it snowed in the interior!
I finally got a ticket to see R.E.M. on May 23 at Deer Lake Park. We couldn't afford for both of us to go so my husband generously let me purchase the ticket. The concert is on rain or shine; I wonder if it'll snow??
